I’ve always been kind of an artsy-craftsy person…think I got it from Mom. I started handcrafting jewelry in March 2005 when my husband Mark was off in Iraq…needed some sort of distraction from the constant worry of bad news. Bought a couple of how-to books, and began creating jewelry with Swarovski crystals. Took a few beading jewelry classes at a nearby glass shop Wired Designs, had a blast...Thanks Liza! While at Wired Designs, I noticed a room of students with flame torches a blaze, they were creating beads with molten glass. It was a lampworking class…very cool! Took a couple of lampwork classes myself…not easy! Learned more about lampwork beads and began creating beautiful jewelry with these pieces of glass art. I enjoy designing my own personal jewelry to color coordinate with all my outfits…I’m kind of a matchy-matchy person.

I love this jewelry thing I’ve got going…it makes me feel good to design something pretty for someone else to enjoy. I hope you love your jewelry as much as I did handcrafting it.
